Vision
Where YOU Matter MORE!
At Dutch-Way, our mission, values and vision are an integral part of how we relate to our community, our staff, and our vendors. We feel that others want to be treated with respect, integrity and friendliness, just as we would want to be treated likewise. Our leadership team is committed to these statements of mission, values and vision.
Our Story
Dutch-Way began in 1972 when David Z. Martin opened a small store in Myerstown, Pennsylvania, selling milk and eggs from the family farm. In 1978, David G. Martin took over, transforming the farmer’s market-style store into the supermarket operation we know today.
Growth soon followed with the opening of the Gap location in 1983 and Schaefferstown in 1991. In 1994, David partnered with Cliff and Jeff Snader, along with Rich High, to help manage the business. By 2001, they assumed day-to-day leadership and all locations operated under the public name Dutch-Way Farm Market. In 2018, Jason Bennett and Jordan Snader joined the ownership team, becoming majority shareholders in 2025, with Josiah Snader also joining that year.
Over the years, Dutch-Way has been blessed with loyal employees, supportive customers, and continued growth. Highlights include the opening of a larger Myerstown facility with a family-style restaurant in 2004, a major remodel of the Gap store in 2010, the addition of ACE Hardware in 2012, and the opening of our Ephrata store with café in 2022.
From a small farm store to four thriving locations, our mission remains the same: to serve our communities with quality, care, and gratitude. To God be the glory!
